First Wedding Photographer at Hilton London Wembley

First Wedding Photographer at Hilton London Wembley

I am really excited and proud to announce I had the honor to be the first ever Wedding Photographer to photograph a Wedding and Reception at The Hilton London Wembley. Hilton London Wembley, a luxury new hotel in London, near Wembley Stadium and near Wembley Arena has just opened and what a great venue for any wedding photographer to capture great images for the couples getting married.
I like to embrace every challenge with an open heart and open mind and what better than being the photographer of the first wedding at this luxury hotel. And to add more creative, artistic or high fashion wedding images to my portfolio.

Below are some of the fantastic images I created and captured for Rupa & Minesh’s wedding ceremony followed by the wedding reception in the evening. This was the final event I had to photography for this beautiful young couple – having photographed their Registry Wedding at Brent Town Hall, the Sanji Garba night / Sangeet night at Methodist Church on Ealing Road in Wembley, The Mehndi Party at Venue 5.

Natural wedding photography was the order of the day, with only some posed couples portraits. Even some of these were captured in reportage fashion whilst the wedding videographer was filming his high definition ( HD ) videography. We were both using the excellent Canon 5D Mark II camera, he was using it to shoot video and I was shooting the WEDDING pictures, both using L series lenses to for top quality results.

Asian Weddings: Something Gold, Nothing Borrowed, Everything New – Asian Weddings in UK

Asian Weddings in UK

As an Asian Wedding photographer in London I listened to the BBC Radio program  by Yasmeen Khan on the BBC iplayer – Asian Weddings: Something Gold, Nothing Borrowed, Everything New –  with interest and thought it was a wonderfully describes the Asian Weddings in the UK. This is something you may want to consider listening to if  you are planning your Hindu, Muslim or Sikh wedding.

Below is how the  BBC website described the program.

Asian Weddings: Something Gold, Nothing Borrowed, Everything New

“Big fat gypsy weddings might have hit the headlines, but the traditional British Asian wedding has always been big. Often including several separate ceremonies and events spread over a week or more, the cost of the average Asian wedding in the UK is frequently well over £30,000. With the significance of marriage or ‘shaadi’ being huge in south Asian culture, weddings are a serious business. From the lavish designer outfits and the elaborate cakes to the grand stages where the bride and groom sit on their thrones, complete with a lighting and sound system to rival a TV talent show, this is an industry worth a reported £300 million a year in the UK alone.

Yasmeen Khan explores the glamorous world of British Asian weddings. She takes in an Asian wedding exhibition in the UK, meeting the clothes designers, wedding planners, toastmasters, food suppliers, chefs, asian wedding photographers,  videographers and ‘yellow gold’ jewellers making their fortunes as the second and third generation tie the knot, all of them keen to help the families show off their wealth. She learns about the different cultural aspects of a Muslim, Sikh and Hindu wedding. She visits a couple’s big day and explore the meaning behind cultural traditions, such as the confiscating of the groom’s shoes by the bride’s sisters and cousins – finding out what he must do to get them back.

Yasmeen also delves into the politics of the guest list at an Asian wedding, many of which are huge affairs with hundreds and sometimes thousands of guests! And she discovers just how much family relations are tested as an increasing number of couples pay for something that has traditionally been paid for by the bride’s family.

Produced by: Yasmeen Khan & Neil Rosser A Ladbroke Production for BBC Radio 4.”

Asian Wedding Photography by Indian Wedding Photographer at Manor of Groves, Deepali & Deepak

Asian wedding photography by Indian Wedding Photographer at the beautiful venue, Manor of Groves for Deepali & Deepak’s Wedding and Reception.

A few natural wedding photos from the wedding and reception I shot at The Manor Of Groves Hotel for Deepali & Deepak. It was a fantastic wedding to photography and as you can see from the image both Deepak and Deepali were relaxed and enjoying their wedding day. It helped greatly that we had had a pre-wedding meeting at the venue and plans for their wedding photography.

The Civil Wedding Ceremony was planned to happen under the gazebo, but due to the rain it was quickly re-arranged in the main hall – thanks to Shenai Weddings team. The weather quickly improved for the Asian Wedding family and guests enjoyed this fantastic wedding as much i enjoyed shooting in a natural and documentary style. This photographic style allows for the couple to enjoy their wedding day and allows me to shoot some great natural photographs.

Richmond Registry Office Wedding of Neena and Purav

Richmond Registry Office, Surrey Wedding Photography

Neena & Purav’s Civil Wedding took place at Richmond Registry Office on the 29th April 2011, same day as the Kate and William’s Royal Wedding in London. But it was Neena and Purav who had booked this date first to get married and Kate and William set this as their wedding date later. I can confirm this as I was booked as their wedding photographer a long time ago. Here are a couple of the pictures from the Registry Office Wedding…

Neena & Purav’s Indian wedding day at The Sattavis Patidar Centre in Wembley. It had the pleasure catching up with this lovely couple as I had honor of photographing their Engagement, a Pre-Wedding Shoot and was the photographer for their Registry Wedding at the Richmond Registry Office.
Their wedding day was amazing as you can see from the photos below, but what made it special for them was that we managed to photograph their couple portraits at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, North London – and popularly known as the ‘Neasden Temple’ – what a wonderful backdrop for Neena & Purav’s wedding pictures. Then it was back to The Sattavis Patidar Centre for the wedding reception. It was great to see Neena and Purav enjoying their wedding reception and the company of family and friend on this special day. Here are just some of the images from their wedding day…

Manoj and Kate’s Indian Wedding Day

Shooting Manoj and Kate’s Indian wedding at Whitchurch First School in Stanmore, North London. For some of Kate’s family and friend, this was the first time they were attending an Indian Wedding. They found the whole ceremony fascinating with all the colour and rituals, and how informal it can be during indian weddings.
